The Studio: Private Integrated Performance in Queenstown
A focused indoor–outdoor environment for assessment, rehabilitation, strength and performance development.
Work directly with Peter in a dedicated studio on a Lake Hayes lifestyle property. The indoor training space and adjoining outdoor areas allow the session to be organised around your goals, current capabilities and the work that matters most.
- Private one-to-one sessions
- Indoor strength & assessment
- Outdoor performance space
- By appointment · Lake Hayes
Indoor coaching with outdoor options when conditions allow.
Not a Crowded Gym. A Private Place to Work on Your Goals.
The studio is built around individual appointments rather than open-gym access or a class timetable. That makes room to assess, coach, change an exercise, perform relevant hands-on work and progress your physical training within the same session when appropriate.
Rehabilitation and performance are not separated into different environments. What you do here depends on what you need now and what you are working towards next.
Understand Your Starting Point
Space for relevant movement, mobility, strength and physical-capacity assessment before planning progression.
Train and Rebuild Together
Combine appropriate rehabilitation and corrective strategies with progressive exercise in one coherent approach.
Progress Beyond the Session
Use strength, conditioning, movement and sport-relevant work according to your goals and response to training.
Assessment, Coaching and Strength Under One Roof.
The indoor area is the main coaching environment. It supports detailed assessment, relevant corrective or hands-on work, technical exercise instruction and progressive strength training.
Equipment is selected for what it allows us to assess or develop, rather than for how many machines can fit into the space. Sessions can move between movement preparation, resistance exercise and appropriate rehabilitation work as needed.
- Individual assessment and movement-analysis area
- Barbells, rack and free-weight strength work
- Keiser cable training and other resistance equipment
- York glute-ham raise and posterior-chain training
- Mobility, corrective exercise and manual-work space

Outdoor Training When the Session Calls for It.
The adjoining outdoor areas extend what can be done at the property. When conditions are suitable, we can move outside for sled work, field-based movement, acceleration and deceleration, change of direction or selected low-impact movement and mat-based exercises.
The outdoor areas are an addition to the private indoor studio, not a promise that every appointment will take place outside. The session is planned around your readiness, training goals, weather and ground conditions.
Explore the AssessmentGrass Sled Track
A dedicated grass length for suitable resisted locomotion, sled work and selected outdoor conditioning.
Open Grass Training Area
Approximately half an acre of relatively flat grass for agility, acceleration, change of direction and field-based movement.
Removable Matted Area
Additional outdoor space near the studio for selected mobility, mat work, Swiss-ball exercise and suitable plyometric preparation.
Outdoor training is conditional: weather, ground conditions, season and the demands of the session determine whether the outdoor spaces are appropriate to use.
Private Coaching Without the Commercial-Gym Routine.
The setting is deliberately personal. Peter can focus on your individual assessment findings, technical details and physical development without working around a group-class timetable.
One-to-One Attention
Work with Peter rather than joining a general session or following a shared programme.
One Integrated Method
Movement, rehabilitative strategies, strength and performance training can sit together when relevant.
Room to Adapt
Adjust the exercises, loading, setting and session emphasis as your capabilities and goals change.

Before You Visit The Studio.
How private appointments, indoor–outdoor training and your first visit work.
Is this a private personal training studio or a public gym?
It is Peter’s private, appointment-based Integrated Performance studio. Coaching is delivered one-to-one rather than through general open-gym access or a group-class schedule.
Do I need to pay for a separate gym membership?
No. Use of the private facility during your scheduled coaching appointment is included. See the Pricing page for current assessment and coaching options.
Is every session held outdoors?
No. The indoor studio is the main training and assessment environment. Suitable outdoor work can be included when the session calls for it and weather and ground conditions allow.
Can rehabilitation and performance work happen in the same studio?
Yes. Peter’s approach combines relevant assessment, appropriate corrective or rehabilitative intervention, strength and performance training as needed rather than treating them as unrelated services.
Is the studio suitable if I am new to strength training?
Yes. Your experience, goals and current physical capabilities inform the appointment. You do not need to arrive already fit or familiar with the equipment.
Can I visit the studio without booking first?
No. Sessions and visits are by appointment. Contact Peter first to discuss your needs and confirm visit details.
How do I start working with Peter?
Enquire about an Integrated Performance Assessment , or begin with a separate complimentary 30-minute conversation if you want to discuss the approach before committing to the full assessment.
Where is The Studio?
The studio is in the Lake Hayes area of Queenstown, New Zealand. Appointment details and directions can be confirmed directly with Peter when arranging your visit.
